Description
Abaktal, Isofloxin, Nobac, Noflexin, Oxaflox, Pefbid, Peflacine, Pefloksacyna, Peflon, Peflox, Pefloxacin Domesco, Pelox, Pelox-400, Unikpef, Bioflen, Dexaflox, Felox, Idrostamin, Apex Pefloxacin, Labocton, Niux, Peflacin, Peflacine Injection, Peflacine, Peflox, Perti, Proflox.This medication is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, prescribed for the treatment of uncomplicated gonococcal urethritis in males and for gram-negative bacterial infections in gastrointestinal system and genitourinary tract. Oral.
Adults – 400 mg bid 7 to 10 days taken along with food. IV Infusion: Adults – 400mg in 100ml of 5% dextrose slow infusion over 1 hr bid. Caution should be exercised in patients with history of brain or spinal cord disease, epilepsy, kidney or liver impairment. Avoid exposure to sunlight; otherwise it may lead to severe sunburn. It should not be used in children below 12 years.
