Product Overview
Docetaxel API is a potent antineoplastic agent that is only partially man-made.
This API is included in the taxane class of chemotherapy treatments.
It is made from the needles of the European yew tree (Taxus baccata) and helps tubulin make stable microtubules.
It also prevents them from breaking down. This stabilization stops cells from dividing normally.
Because of this, it makes cancer cells die by apoptosis, or programmed cell death.
As a first or second treatment for solid tumors, docetaxel is often employed.
It is often used with other solutions that fight cancer. There are two types: anhydrous and trihydrate.
The trihydrate is the one that is employed in clinical preparations.
